Ray Fisher Was Happy With Justice League, Even If Cyborg's Story Was Cut Down

A lot of people on the Internet have shared their opinions about Justice League in the time since the movie was released last year. Now, Justice League star Ray Fisher has spoken out about his own feelings related to the Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon movie, noting he was happy with the final product. He said:

I was happy man. All things considered with Cyborg, there was a lot of material we didn't get to see with respect to Cyborg's backstory. But I think that they did justice with what they could with respect to the character. Ultimately, a lot of people put a lot of hard work into this thing. There are a lot of decisions that we don't necessarily have any control over with respect to that. But I felt like the integrity of the character was upheld.

Ray Fisher revealed at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest that Zack Snyder had a whole big idea planned for Cyborg that didn't end up making it into the final product, including the idea that the audience watching and even Cyborg himself may not know whether he's really a villain or a hero during Justice League. Along with that, Fisher has addressed all the cool backstory info the fans may have missed with the final draft of the flick. However, he says he was really happy with how his character came out.

The new characters that were brought into the world of DC movies during Justice League were generally well-received. In particular, Cyborg has been listed often as one of the highlights of the movie, so Ray Fisher believing the "integrity" of his character remaining in the flick is not necessarily a surprising comment, but it's still nice to hear he liked how the final product panned out.

Warner Bros.' most recent attempts in the DC universe have not come out to a great deal of critical acclaim. Justice League is only running at a 45 rating on Metacritic and a 41% on Rotten Tomatoes. Still, there does seem to be a discrepancy between critical reviews and the fanbase, as 74% of the audience is reporting they liked Justice League on the latter site. Justice League also landed a B+ CinemaScore.

Therefore, it seems like at least a good chunk of the DC fanbase is in Ray Fisher's camp in regard to Justice League.

Although we didn't get to see as much as we perhaps could have in the final Justice League product, eventually -- hopefully -- a Cyborg solo movie is expected to be on the way. Ray Fisher also revealed he's still just as in the dark about when that's going to happen as we are, but with a little luck, perhaps that one will move forward sooner rather than later. The Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Highlights One Major Change From the Comics

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has only ever used its comic predecessors as a starting point to tell new and different stories. The newest trailer for Avengers: Infinity War highlighted one specific change that the new movie will make to the Infinity Gauntlet comic that inspired it. It clarified, to a point, exactly what Thanos' motivations are for hunting down the Infinity Stones and what he plans to do as soon as he has them all. He's going to wipe out half the universe because he doesn't feel the universe is currently in balance.The trailer doesn't go into exactly why things are not currently "perfectly balanced" but it appears that we'll get our answers in Avengers: Infinity War as the trailer shows us a brief moment that looks to be part of a flashback sequence, Thanos walking with a child who is very likely Gamora. This may be part of the story that Gamora is telling at the beginning of the trailer. It's a quite specific goal for Thanos to have to wipe out half of the universe. Clearly, something happened to him in the past that made him decide that this was a necessary thing to do.It seemed fairly clear early on that Thanos' motivations would be different in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than they were in the comics that inspired it, we just didn't know exactly what they would be. In the comics, Thanos has a somewhat more mundane reason for doing what he does. He's trying to impress a girl. Specifically, he's trying to win the affection of the personification of Death by taking control of all life in the universe via the Infinity Stones. Interestingly, the trailer does make one passing reference to the comic inspiration that we see in the trailer. Gamora mentions that if Thanos gets all the Infinity Stones he can wipe out half the life in the universe with a snap of his fingers. We know this is true because, in the comics, he did exactly that.

In the comics eliminating half of all life was a means to an end, but here, it appears that doing so is the actual goal. Perhaps Thanos is just worried about universal overpopulation. Maybe galactic food supply is getting low. Whatever it is, he thinks the galaxy would just be better off with fewer people in it. He specifically states that half of humanity will survive, so he's apparently going to be fair about which half goes and which half stays. He's not going to destroy all humans just so every member of some other planet can live. Although, since they tried to stop him, I'm guessing half the Avengers won't get to hang around.

Zachary Levi Reveals His Intense Shazam! Diet

An actors job may seem cushy from the outside, but they do a lot to make sure that we are entertained in the theater -- especially if they are a superhero. It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to maintain that superheroic body. It also takes a lot of crummy meals for months on end, which was no different for Zachary Levi. The actor is playing the title hero in Shazam!, and he recently revealed what is diet was like to keep in shape.

Every actor who signs on to play a superhero (or any muscular action role, really) has to go through rigorous daily workouts and diets to get into Hollywood shape. Chris Pratt, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, and Josh Brolin are just a few of the actors who have put themselves through culinary hell so that they can film those shirtless scenes. I don't even know if Shazam can take his clothes off, but Zachary Levis still had to get into tip-top shape for the role.

Over on Twitter, Zachary Levi gave a taste (see what I did there?) of what kind of food he had to eat while getting into superhero shape. Basically, it was a lot of meat and vegetables for five meals a day. Apparently, he's immune to the effects of eggs, so he didn't get much opportunity to change things up. It doesn't sound quite as bad as what some other actors have detailed about their own experiences, but it's still a lot of food.

Zachary Levi's body has been a weird point of contention for one small group of fans. Levi has been body shamed since first getting cast in the role, by those who felt that he wasn't "big" enough to play a fictional character drawn with impossible musculature. Things didn't get much better when the suit was leaked in a set photo, and it appeared to give Levi artificial muscles. It's clear though that Levi has been going through workouts to get in shape, and it's been implied that there are still some effects on the suit that needs to be finished.

Shazam! follows the story of Billy Batson, a young orphan who is magically granted powers by a wizard. With one yell of a magic word, Billy transforms into Shazam and adult superhero with the powers to rival Superman. The movie is directed by David F. Sandberg and stars Levi, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, and Djimon Hounsou.
